Das Drago-Familien-Workout: So trainierten Lundgren und Munteanu
Dolph Lundgren und Florian Munteanu als Vater und Sohn Drago verbindet mehr als nur ihre Filmrollen: Beide sind Sportskanonen allererste Güte. Munteanu ist auch im echten Leben ein Boxer und Fitness-Model – und ganz neu im Filmgeschäft. In seiner ersten großen Rolle steht er Action-Ikone Sylvester Stallone alias Rocky Balboa gegenüber und mit ihm vor der Kamera. Auf eine ähnliche Geschichte blickt auch Dolph Lundgren zurück, allerdings hat die sich schon 33 Jahre früher abgespielt.

In "Rocky IV" war er genauso alt wie Florian Munteanu heute: 28. Der große Altersunterschied zwischen den beiden Männern trieb Lundgren an, sportlich wieder mehr Gas zu geben. "Wenn ich Florian in irgendwas gleichkommen kann, bin ich absolut zufrieden", sagt Lundgren über das gemeinsame Training mit dem jungen Deutsch-Rumänen. Dennoch verkörpern die beiden jeweils eine Generation Männer, wie sie unterschiedlicher nicht sein können: In "Creed II" ist die Beziehung von Ivan und Viktor nicht ganz einfach. Im wahren Leben hegen die beiden eine freundschaftliche Beziehung. Nachdem das Casting abgeschlossen war, fingen sie an, gemeinsam in Los Angeles zu trainieren. "Wenn man gemeinsam Sport treibt, entwickelt man der anderen Person gegenüber Respekt", sagt Lundgren. Ob klassisches Boxtraining, LKW Reifen durch die Gegend werfen oder an den Battle Ropes trainieren. Lundgren und Munteanu sind sich für nichts zu schade, um sich den perfekten Körper für die Leinwand zu erarbeiten.
Das sieht man auch in diesem Video, das Lundgren bei Instagram teilte:"So sieht's aus, wenn die Drago-Familie Spaß hat", schrieb er dazu. "Ich muss dich vernichten, Vater!"

In den 1980ern, als er sich das erste Mal für die Rolle des Drago fit machte, sah Lundgrens Training noch anders aus. "Viele Leute stemmten damals Gewichte für ihr Ego – ich war einer von ihnen", erzählt er. Heute, mittlerweile 61 Jahre alt, versucht er es mit smartem Training. Dabei verfolgt Lundgren ein ganzheitliches Konzept. Er hört auf seinen Körper und ändert seinen Plan, falls er sich nicht in der Lage fühlt, das angestrebte Trainingspensum zu bewältigen.
Außerdem reduziert er seine Wiederholungszahl nach jedem Satz, von 30 bis auf 10. Des Weiteren ist ihm Stabilität sehr wichtig, deshalb baut er Übungen wie Unterarm- und Seitstütz in sein Training ein, das er 5-mal pro Woche durchzieht.
Das Training des 61-Jährigen hat sich mit der Zeit verändert, klar. Früher, bei der Vorbereitung auf seine Rolle in "Rocky IV", versuchte er mit möglichst viel Gewicht den gewünschten Körper für die Leinwand zu erreichen. Heute, für den Auftritt in "Creed II", trainiert er seinen Körper wie folgt:

Lundgren trainiert 5 Mal die Woche: Brust und Arme, dann Rücken, Schultern und Bizeps und zweimal Beine. Mittlerweile ist seine Routine aber flexibel. "Ich plane zwar, was ich am nächstes Training machen werde, aber wenn ich mich nicht danach fühle, mache ich eben was anderes."
Die richtige Workout-Abfolge?
Der Drago-Darsteller hält seine Muskeln mit Bizeps-Curls, Bankdrücken und Ruderzügen aufrecht. Dabei geht er im Trainingsverlauf mit den Wiederholungen runter: Der Start ist bei 30, dann runter auf 20, 15 und am Ende 10. "Mit 30 zu starten, lässt viel Blut in meine Muskeln fließen. Dadurch wird jeder Satz leichter."
Die Lieblingsübung von Dolph Lundgren?
"Als ich 27 Jahre alt war, hatte ich super Rumpf-Muskeln", so Lundgren. Heute arbeitet er hart daran, diese Stabilität aufrechtzuerhalten. Mit drei Mal 30 Sekunden Seitstütz pro Seite und zwei Sätzen von 10 Unterarmstützen mit abwechselndem Beinheben in jedem Training.

Die 3 Trainingsgeheimnisse von Boxer Florian Munteanu
Im Jahr 1985 flohen Munteanus Eltern aus Rumänien nach Westdeutschland. Passend, dass im selben Jahr "Rocky IV" erschien. Er wurde im Herbst 1990 geboren und wuchs im niederbayrischen Bogen auf. Neben seiner Boxer-Karriere, in welcher er übrigens als "Big Nasty" bekannt ist, schloss er 2014 seinen Bachelor in Sport- und Event-Management an der Universität in München ab.
Florian "Big Nasty" Munteanu übte täglich bis zu 14 Stunden für die perfekte Choreografie. Egal ob Jab, Gerade oder Haken: Alle Bewegungen müssen für seinen Kampf im Film perfekt sitzen. Ob er so trainiert hat wie sein Filmvater? "Auf keinen Fall", so Munteanu. "Ich persönlich stehe auf den altmodischen Trainingsstil. Das sieht man auch im Film. Wir trainieren old-school, nicht modern, versuchen es nicht, uns zu einfach zu machen. Den Schmerz auf altmodische Art ertragen."
So hat Munteanu während seiner Boxkarriere schon immer trainiert. Möglichst simpel: "Gebt mir eine Trainingsbank fürs Bankdrücken, einen schweren Boxsack. Und ein Laufband. Mehr brauche ich nicht", sagt er. Als er für die Rolle als Viktor Drago vorspielte, wog er noch 113 Kilogramm bei einer Körpergröße von 1,93 Metern. Für seine Rolle musste er 13 Kilogramm verlieren. So ernährte sich Florian Munteanu
Munteanu konsumierte Proteine Tag und Nacht, zwei Gramm pro Kilogramm Körpergewicht. Sein Abendessen hatte den größten Proteingehalt. "Ich habe es einfach gehalten," sagt Munteanu. Hauptsächlich gönnte er sich: "nur Gemüse und Thunfisch", der enthält viel Protein und wenig Fett.
So sah sein Krafttraining aus
"Wir haben jeden Tag für 5 bis 6 Stunden trainiert, weil ich abnehmen musste", so Munteanu. Aber wenn man nicht genug Zeit hat, trainiert man gegen die Zeit und holt nicht das Maximum aus seinem Training. Also stand anstatt Wiederholungen, Sekundenzählen auf dem Plan: jede Bewegung für 45 Sekunden ausführen und in dieser Zeit einfach so viele Wiederholungen wie möglich schaffen, dann 15 Sekunden Pause und wieder von Neuem beginnen.
Wie wichtig ist Ausdauertraining?
Für sein Kardiotraining entschied sich Munteanu für einen klassischen 30-minütigen Lauf. Bei konstantem Tempo Kilometer abreißen, um sowohl seine Ausdauer fürs Boxen zu verbessern, als auch Kalorien zu verbrennen. Das absolvierte er an 3 Tagen in der Woche.

Tränen für die Dragos
Die Dreharbeiten waren intensiv. Am Ende brach Munteanu zusammen. Die ganze Zeit den bösen Kerl zu spielen, fiel ihm nicht leicht. "Es hat einen Monat gedauert, bis ich wieder Florian war. Ich sagte zu Dolph, 'wir lächeln nicht einmal in diesem Film'." Munteanu und Lundgren scherzen oft miteinander, ob sie bei den Zuschauern gut ankommen werden. Ganz klar ist: Adonis Creed und Rocky Balboa sind die Sympathieträger. Die Dragos hingegen sind gefallen und am Boden. Lundgren war nicht davon überzeugt, Munteanu hingegen sehr: "Die Leute werden schockiert sein. Sie unterschätzen Dolph, unterschätzen seine Fähigkeiten als Schauspieler. Sie sehen ihn als knallharten Kämpfer, der alles zerstören will. Aber da werden einige Tränen für uns fließen."
